TabRider · Last updated: 30 September 2026

TabRider (“the app”, “we”) is a guitar-learning app for iPhone, iPad and Android, developed and published by Stéphane Burger. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled.

Microphone access

TabRider uses your device’s microphone to listen to the notes you play on your guitar. The sound is analysed entirely on your device, in real time. No audio — raw or processed — is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted off your device.

Data we collect

TabRider does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Specifically:

Locally stored data

The app stores your exercise scores and progression on your device, in its private storage. If you import your own Guitar Pro (.gpx) files, those files are stored there too.

Neither is transmitted anywhere by TabRider. Both are, however, included in your device’s own backup if you have it switched on: iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, backup to your Google account on Android. That is a function of your device settings; TabRider neither configures nor starts any sync or backup of its own.

Deleting your data

Because nothing is stored outside your device, deleting the app removes all of it: your scores, your progression, and any Guitar Pro files you imported. There is no account to close and nothing for us to delete on your behalf. If your device backup is on, a copy may remain in your backups until they are replaced or removed, which you control from your device settings.

Children’s privacy

TabRider does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change in a future version (for example, if cloud sync or online features are added), this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will reflect that change.
